Arthur Jason De Luigi distinguished himself early on by excelling in sports and academics. At Beaver High School, he lettered in football and baseball, and at George Washington University, he lettered in rugby and cheerleading. He was valedictorian of his high school in 1993, earned undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry in 1997, and completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2001 from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he later received a Master of Healthcare Administration in 2017.
De Luigi's career in sports medicine began with an internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, during which he served as a battalion surgeon in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military service was recognized with several awards, including the Army Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. He contributed significantly to military sports medicine, acting as medical director for the Army Ten Miler and the Adaptive Sports Medicine Program at Walter Reed.
Throughout his professional career, De Luigi has been deeply involved with various sports teams and organizations. He served as head team physician for the Washington Wizards, D.C. United, Washington Nationals, Washington Spirit, and Washington Mystics. His expertise extended to the University of Utah, USA Boxing, the U.S. Olympic Committee, and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, among others. Currently, he holds prominent positions at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and has academic appointments at Georgetown University and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Jason resides in Scottsdale, AZ, with his family.
